We have lived in Hong Kong for over 13 years, and recently moved to Sai Kung so that our family could enjoy the wonderful range of opportunities for a healthy and active lifestyle that this area has to offer. The only thing that we felt the community needed was a well equipped gym, so deciding to provide that service ourselves, we came up with the idea of launching Lifestyle Fitness Gym and Studio.
Thanks to the help of our team of experts, we feel that we have created a welcoming and satisfying space that will be just what you are looking for.
Gym Manager
Giles Hudson
Giles joins us with over 18 years experience in gym management in Hong Kong and is responsible for all our day to day operations. Originally trained as an officer in the Gurkhas, he then decided to use his military experience and move into the fitness industry where he has helped start-up companies and managed large residential club fitness centres. We are very excited to have Giles join our team in late 2009 and look forward to the difference that he will make to our operation in 2010.
Personal Trainers
Terry Tong
Terry has been working in the fitness industry for over 9 years and not surprisingly, has gained substantial experience over that period as well as having built up a good reputation in most of the larger gyms throughout Hong Kong. His dedication, experience and friendly nature mean that you will get a comprehensive and enjoyable workout every time. Since joining us in 2008 he has created new Circuit Training Programmes that are very effective at improving fitness levels and losing weight fast, so if you want to try something a little different to the usual gym routine then please try it out. Terry's qualifications include the following:
- Personal Trainer Certificate - NASM, AASFP, IPTA
- Professional Personal Trainer Training Certificate - IPTFA (Beijing Sports University)
- Fitness Boxing Instructor (Australian Training for Fitness Professionals)

Win Chan
Win has been with us since 2008 and before that was instructing in private gyms in Hong Kong for almost three years. Her experience in the customer service industry and helpful nature make her the perfect addition to our team plus the variety of teaching disciplines she holds adds to the range of classes we are now able to offer. Win runs our popular Body Sculpt classes, is able to teach Body Core, Fitball and Aerobics and also holds the following certificates:
- Advanced Personal Trainer (AASFP)
- Aerobics (ATFFP)
- First Aid & CPR (St. John's)
Johnny Yeung
Educated in Vancouver Canada, Johnny has been involved in sport for most of his life and loves passing on the benefits of healthy living to the younger generation by coordinating youth sports camps and community service activities. Since moving to Hong Kong, Johnny has gained considerable experience in the field of personal training and together with his genuinely friendly and helpful nature, he is the perfect complement to our customer service-oriented fitness centre. Aside from being educated in human physiology, biomechanics and rehabilitation care, his qualifications include the following:
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology
- Certified Personal Trainer (NASM)
- Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM)
- Certificate of Resisted Movement Training CPR Certified
Fitness Boxing/Kickboxing
Alex Tam
Alex has been involved in the boxing industry for many years teaching both group classes and competition preparation programmes for more advanced students. He is a local resident and is known by many "old timers" who used to attend the popular classes he used to run here in Sai Kung several years ago. A qualified International Referee and Judge (World MuayThai Federation) as well as a Hong Kong Boxing Association Referee, Alex is a highly qualified and respected instructor both in Hong Kong and the UK and is one of the most sought-after trainers here in Hong Kong. His enthusiasm and humour will guarantee that every session is fun, whilst the intense cardiovascular workout will ensure you leave your classes with a sense of satisfaction knowing that you've worked out all your problems of the day. His classes are a guaranteed stress-reliever, so come and join the fun!
Yoga & Pilates
Nocky
Having worked in offices for many years, Nocky knows just how unhealthy it can be working long hours and sitting down all day. That's why she dedicates most of her free time conducting various Yoga and Pilates classes in and around town, helping people switch off from the daily grind and tune in to their bodies. We are very pleased to take advantage of the fact that she now wants to dedicate more time working closer to home and that you will benefit from the in-demand Yoga and Pilates classes she runs on Sundays.
Catherine
Catherine is another of our dedicated teachers, having taken the widely recognised Yoga Alliance registered course after practising the discipline for several years. She spends most of her time travelling around Hong Kong passing on her knowledge and experience to her students who are fortunate to benefit from her exhuberance and passion for the sport. Her areas of expertise are in the teaching of Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin Yoga as well as Yoga Stretch and Restorative Yoga. Her classes run during the weekday mornings and are the perfect start to your busy day.
Dawn
Dawn has taken various Yoga courses in India and runs several classes around Hong Kong, including Kids Yoga. She runs some of our weekday classes plus a Saturday morning kids class, which may be just the tonic for calming the monkeys down! On a serious note, children do have amazing flexibility and this class usually produces impressive results.
Jenny
Jenny has also taken courses in India and her experience now allows us to offer a wide range of Yoga classes throughout the week.
