Fitness boxing  

If you are looking for a good full-body workout to improve fitness and flexibility, tone muscles and burn away those unwanted calories then this is the class for you. Fitness Boxing is based on exercises traditionally used in boxing training and is a great class for those wanting to combine exercise and fun. A guaranteed stress reliever!

Each 75-minute session generally includes warm-up, stretching and conditioning exercises for flexibility, boxing drills and pad work for cardiovascular fitness and co-ordination, followed by cool-down.

Our classes cater to all abilities allowing for experienced students to work at a higher level than those relatively new to the programme. Modules are run in groups of six (min) but not more than nine (max) people.

Alex your instructor, is a registered boxing coach of the Hong Kong Boxing Association, a kickboxing referee & judge for the association and started this programme very successfully in Sai Kung a few years ago.

Note: Boxing gloves and hand wraps are necessary for the pad work. Gloves will be provided for the class but personal hand wraps are needed for hygiene and these can be purchased from reception. Sports shoes with thin soles and comfortable clothing are recommended for this class.

The class that needs no introduction, Aerobics is a great fun way to work your upper and lower body as well as add to your repertoire of moves on the dance floor. Come and join Dicky for these beginner level classes and see what all the fuss is about!

step basics  

One of the most popular forms of aerobic workouts, a step class is an excellent way to get fit. Our step class is performed under the guidance of Dicky who will take you through a series of exercises on a raised platform (step) along to music to keep things moving at a rhythmic pace. Dicky offers all you beginners out there this ideal opportunity to find out what it’s about.

pilates  

Pilates is all about the control of your muscles, helping you to develop balance and flexibility. It focuses on strengthening your core muscles to help improve posture and straighten your spine, and is particularly helpful for people suffering from chronic back pain. Nocky will take you through a variety of controlled floor exercises to help you achieve the results you are looking for. If it’s a flat stomach and gently toned body you’re looking for, this could well be the form of exercise for you!

These are beginner level classes but can be adapted for those of you who have some previous experience.

FITNESS YOGA 

Yoga is an ancient practice that first emerged in India at least five thousand years ago and has now become very popular throughout the world. Your instructor Nocky, uses postures taken from Hatha yoga and adds a fitness element all of which aims to strengthen your body and improve your flexibility as well as concentration.This is not just about stretching your muscles; the idea is to improve the working of your internal body systems which in turn will mean that you will have more energyand your immune system will function more efficiently.

Each class can be adjusted to accommodate your fitness level and you will find it is an ideal form of exercise for all ages regardless of your current health status. If it is overall strength and flexibility as well as improved concentration you are looking for, these are the classes for you!
