Membership

  1. Membership of the Lifestyle Fitness Gym is available to all adults over the age of 18.
  2. Membership is required in order to join all plans except daily walk-in rates.
  3. Lifestyle Fitness Ltd Management reserves the right to deny or accept membership applications at its discretion and without explanation.
  4. HKID or passport required as proof of ID when collecting membership cards.
  5. Membership Plans are not available to persons under the age of 18 (Juniors) however individual daily gym passes may be purchased for $100. In this case, rule #7 applies. 
  6. A Junior is classed as being between the ages of 14 and 18 years old and access to the gym is limited to the hours of 10am - 6pm.
  7. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult when using the gym and proof of age must be produced if requested. Failure to do so may result in denial of the facilities.
  8. The minimum age for using the gym equipment is 14.

Cancellation and Suspension

  1. Not less than 1 month's notice is required for Members terminating their Membership or upgrading their Plan type (i.e. monthly to 6 monthly/annual).
  2. Cancellations will not result in a refund of pre-paid Plans, unless made within 14 days of joining or for the following reasons:
    •    Medical incapacitation :- A medical certificate must be produced confirming the member’s inability to carry out physical exercise for a minimum of 3 months.
    •    Relocation :- If the member’s residence moves outside the Sai Kung District (as defined by the HK Government) and proof of new address is required.
  3. Membership Plans may be suspended at the request of the individual concerned only in the event of illness, injury or other medically certifiable incapacitation. A medical certificate covering the full period of suspension will be required as proof. In this case, the minimum period of suspension will be 1 month and the Membership Plan will be extended for a period equal to the suspension. The membership card must be returned to Lifestyle Fitness Ltd at the start of the suspension and will be returned upon resumption of membership.

Subscriptions

  1. Monthly subscriptions must be made by Standing Instruction and all other Plans must be paid in full on application.
  2. Members on Monthly Plans paying by Standing Instruction must notify our reception immediately if changing bank accounts.
  3. Membership will be suspended if subscriptions are in arrears for more than 2 months.
  4. Membership will be cancelled after 3 months non-payment of subscriptions. In this case and in order to rejoin, the Annual Membership fee ($500) and administration fee ($500) shall apply and the annual renewal date shall apply from the date that the rejoining fees are paid.

Prices

  1. Membership and Plan prices are subject to change upon 7 days notice but any such price change will not affect any existing Member until their next membership renewal date. Any changes will be displayed on our website or at the reception desk.
  2. Current prices are displayed on our website and at the reception desk.
  3. Management reserves the right to amend or waive the terms and conditions at their discretion.

Centre Use

  1. In the interest of safety, all users of the Centre must sign in and out at reception.
  2. In the interest of maintaining health standards, gym users are asked to wipe down the equipment after use.
  3. Gym users are asked to avoid dropping free weights on the floor.
  4. Unacceptable behaviour may result in expulsion from the Fitness Centre and/or suspension or cancellation of Membership at the discretion of the Management.
  5. All new gym users must arrange a demonstration of the equipment before using it for the first time. Members can at any time arrange for additional demonstrations if they so need, and all such demonstrations will be free of charge.
  6. During busy periods use of the cardio equipment may be restricted to 20 minutes if necessary.
  7. Management reserves the right to restrict entry to the Fitness Centre in the event that the Centre becomes too crowded and in this case, use of the gym is on a “first come-first served” basis.
  8. Lifestyle Fitness Ltd may cancel activities or alter equipment and services at its discretion, with or without prior notice, and cannot be held responsible for any services or equipment not available, for whatever reason.
  9. The Fitness Centre will be closed when a Typhoon Signal 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted.
  10. Classes or personal training sessions that are cancelled by the customer on the day of the lesson will be charged at the full rate.
  11. Smoking or eating is not permitted anywhere in the Fitness Centre, however drinks or snacks may be consumed on the tables provided on the balcony.
  12. The Centre is not to be used for private coaching at any time, unless booked through Lifestyle Fitness Ltd. Any such activity will result in immediate dismissal from the premises.
  13. The use of mobile phones or cameras in the gym is not permitted.
  14. Anyone using the facilities must dress appropriately with clothing and footwear that have no protruding parts that could cause damage to the equipment. Men must wear shirts at all times, and shoes must be clean.
  15. If a member of staff believes a client is not using the gym equipment properly, he or she may offer advice or assistance.

Liability

  1. Clients use the Lifestyle Fitness Centre at their own risk. Lifestyle Fitness Ltd, it's subsidiaries, affliates, and associated companies, their officers, employees, servants, agents or licensees shall not be liable or responsible to the applicants for any loss, injury, damages, claims, costs or expenses whatsoever, which may be sustained by any person caused by or in consequence of any fitness activities in the Fitness Centre and Dance Studio.
  2. Clients must advise the Centre staff of any current personal disability prior to using the facilities so that assistance can be given if necessary.
  3. Clients who suffer from any medical condition that could be adversely affected by exercise are encouraged to seek advice from a medical practitioner prior to engaging in any Lifestyle Fitness programmes. Lifestyle Fitness Ltd will not be held accountable for any injuries or medical emergencies that may subsequently arise.
  4. Lifestyle Fitness Ltd does not assume any responsibility for injury resulting from irresponsible or inappropriate use of the gym equipment.
  5. Lifestyle Fitness Ltd's liability for damage or loss to customer’s property is strictly limited to any damage or loss suffered as a direct result of the negligence of its management or staff.
  6. If any personal property is found please hand it in at reception. Lost property that is not claimed within 28 days will be disposed of or donated to a worthy charitable cause.

Lockers

  1. Please leave all personal belongings and outdoor clothing in the lockers provided.
  2. For security reasons and the benefit of other members, all lockers must be vacated at the end of each visit.
  3. All lockers will be emptied at the end of each day and Lifestyle Fitness Ltd will not be held responsible for any personal property left behind.

General

The term “Fitness Centre” shall specifically refer to the rooms 1/F & 2/F 33 Sai Kung Tai Street, and 2/F 33A & 37 Sai Kung Tai Street. Lifestyle Fitness Ltd does not assume responsibility for the stairway and other common areas.
